There are three with Stan Kenton, ten with Woody Herman and eight with Joe Timer. What you don't get much of are the big bands themselves, so if you want some good to excellent Bird with big band backing, this is a good one. If you really are into these bands, buy a different CD, especially if Bird is not your thing." |
