Charlie Feathers started out at the legendary Sun studio in1954 writing songs for Elvis Presley before launching his own faultless recording career on Sun, Meteor, King and other labels. Feathers' reputation as the unreconstructed hero of Rockabilly was set by the European revival of the 1970s, since when he has been lifted to the status of "God" by the patronage of such high-profile fans as The Cramps, Bob Dylan, The Fall and Quentin Tarantino. This double CD set finally gathers together all the prime 1950s recordings from the man, including all his known demos, alternative takes and even the tracks which feature Charlie as a session musician on guitar and spoons!
