"The Charleston Chasers represent a new generation of 1920/early 30's musicians who will hopefully continue producing authentic sounding era music. The Chasers have their own style and sound, but their 10 person band comes together well. They have perhaps taken a bit more liberty in their arrangements than some other bands, but they have not left the 20's idiom to do so. The voice of Debbie Arthurs is excellent and at times soothing, other times playful. Personal favorites include, "That's You, Baby," "The Man I Love," "Drop Me Off At Harlem," and "No One But You Knows How to Love." "Clementine" and "Proud" are a bit weak. Is the CD worth purchasing? You bet! May the Charleston Chasers produce many more.It is exciting to have a group, several of whom are under thirty, producing such a fine CD."
