Droned immaculate

"I couldn't believe nobody else has reviewed this album. This is essential listening for anyone interested in the pure drone and how to build a song out of it. Charles Curtis is a cello player in the Hamburg philharmonic AND a disciple of La Monte Young. The novelty of the 4 sides to be played at the same time is secondary to the brilliance of each track as a whole. Two of the side long tracks are beautiful drones with cello, sine waves and electric guitar, absolutely wonderful! The other 2 tracks start out as drones then turn into nice "songs" as spoken word lyrics are added (think of Velvet Underground's The Gift...on valium). Until La Monte releases some of his own stuff this is as good as it gets. Beautiful cover art as well."
