"The four compositions taken from October 1987 U.S. tour dates by the Keith Jarrett Trio are incredible meditative pieces that each reach out in such subtle, yet powerful ways.



The recordings are from Denver, Colorado; Lexington, Kentucky; Houston, Texas and Dallas, Texas, with Gary Peacock (contrabass) shining on Endless (15:28) and Jack DeJohnette (drums) pacing Ecstacy (12:59) to incredible heights in improvisation. Jarrett - who penned each composition - seizes special moments in front of the appreciative audiences with Dancing (8:58) and Lifeline (11:31).



The math is simple here...four original Jarrett compositions that are performed by his legendary "Standards Trio" makes for a classic acoustic free jazz album.

"Once again the jarret trio weave a wonderfuld landscape of sound.the only complaint I have is the sound quality is actually kind of rough. One thing I always admire about the jarret trio and their live delivery is the way the instruments are miked. The precussion is always a little too loud.and that's good that's the dejonett way . The over the top high hat is not at audible as I usually like it and peacocks bass I want louder dammit . Part of that de jonett drive is the definate prescence which is kind of badly recorded. Its not that bad though. Anyway this freeform jamm session is very meditative and mentaly stimulating to the supreme calibur this trio always delivers."
