"This is, in my opinion, Celso Pina's best release. This is cumbia with a decidedly political bent. I assume that most reading this review are native English speakers but for those who do speak Spanish and whose politics veer left, you cannot go wrong with this disk.

As far as the music goes, the arrangements here are fuller with the instruments accompanying Celso's accordion being more prominent. As always, the cumbia rhythm is the basis of the songs. But, there are variations and therefore, no two songs sound the same. One can hear reggae, son, and other Latin influences to spice things up a bit.

In short, if you like Celso Pina, you will like this. If you like cumbia with an adventurous rather than strictly traditional spirit, you will like this."
