"Back in the early-mid 90's, Cell released two awesomely great albums, this and "Slo-Blo". I've spent countless hours listening to both albums. Ignored upon their releases and long forgotten now, they deserved a better fate. At the time, no band sounded like them. The chiming, melodic guitar textures and the gravelly voice of singer Jerry Direnzio made them trully unique. I first learned about them after reading the review in Rolling Stone which, modestly, compared their music to Television. And while Cell really doesn't sound anything like that band it's hard not understand why that reviewer made that connection. Living Room is by far the stronger of the two albums. They made a huge creative leap in their songwriting from the first album. The songs all rock yet possess immediate hooks. And oh! those guitars! What happened to this band, I have no idea but I've never met anyone else that heard of this band. If you're checking out this review, just pick up a copy of "Living Room" If you like it, check out "Slo-Blo". What happened to this band? ..........."
