"This disc provides a sampling of organ works written in the 1990's by Daniel Pinkham, one of the most significant of America's organ composers. All works demonstrate well Pinkham's personal style, based heavily on a highly contrapuntal panchromaticism. Well crafted and very well written for the organ, they show off the many colors and sounds on the beautiful Fisk instrument in Boston's Historic King's Chapel. The exemplary performances are given by Andrew Paul Holman, the organist for whom all of these works were written, and an organist who has been closely associated with Pinkham and his work."
