Originally discovered by Stan Getz in Peru, Cecilia Noel describes her music as salsoul, elements of salsa, blended with elements of soul and jazz. On her aptly titled new CD A Gozár! (To Enjoy), Noel demonstrates why critics have long called her the Latin Tina Turner.

A Gozár! is both a very personal album and a manifestation of Noel s love of music and dance. Noel wanted the CD to be something that you can put on at your party and dance. Take a little break to dance the ballad cheek-to-cheek and then dance some more. The tracks range from new material to tributes to some of the great Salsa and Cuban artists of the past and some of Noel s favorite long-time standards. A Gozár!, says Noel, is the soundtrack of my life in a way the songs I ve enjoyed singing the most and have sung with a vision of having people have a great time and really dancing but also being blown away.
