Insanely good

"It's very interesting to listen to this album and compare it with Cave-In's most recent release. Believe it or not, the now Radiohead-influenced, popular space rock outfit were once extremely hardcore. Sure, with each album, they grew more and more experimental, departing from their original sound, but this is where it all began. Crunchy guitars, visceral, screaming vocals, complex drum rhythms, and sort of a primitive prog-rock song structure makes Beyond Hypothermia one of the most solid metalcore albums ever made. Goes down in history as one of the best, next to Zao's Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest, and Converge's When Forever Comes Crashing. Be sure to check those out as well."

"This isn't the Cave In that most are familiar with. No, this is Cave In before they developed their unique "Space-Rock" sound that is turning heads and gaining the attention of Major Labels (Their Major Label Debut Antenna comes out March 18th on RCA Records), though this is still a great album. It's a fine mix of Failure meets Earth Crisis as you can discover for yourself throughout this collection of singles and 7 inches hits. Personal Favorites include the hardcore "Crossbearer", dark and complex "Ritual Famine" and the intriguing "Capsize". Fans of Earth Crisis, Archangel, Eighteen Visions, Bleeding Through, Hatebreed, Pantera, and Martyr AD will appreciate this hardcore full length!!!"

"Cave In is an amazing band. They are original and thought provoking. What I love most about them is that they arn't afraid to try new things. While Jupiter has a much more emo feel, this is the definate in-between CD of the three. But when you take it too far and over catagorize everything it becomes unappealing. As far as I'm concerned Cave In has no set catagory, they drift, they redefine, and in the prossess of making their music, they have created a genre all their own."
