Unreleased until now...but WHY?!

"This is the first time this album has been available in stores, even though it was recorded in 1982. The personelle at the time consisted of George Younce, Glen Payne, Roger Bennett on piano, Kirk Talley singing tenor, and Mark Trammell on baritone. From the toe-tapping "I'm Goin' Up" to the last note of Roger's instrumental feature (the only time I've heard Roger's piano playing featured on a Cathedrals release), this album is one of the best of the Cathedrals! Classics such as "Crown Him King" and "Cherish That Name" appear on here, but perhaps the best track is their rendition of "Canaanland Is Just In Sight" (that song alone is worth the price of the whole CD!). As the liner notes say, this album was truely ahead of it's time. GREAT production for the early 80's. The songs are well-sung, and it features the Cathedrals at the beginning of their popularity. The only question I have is...why was this hidden for so long? Perhaps it was only a "record table release," which was only available at concerts and not at stores. Either way, this is a GREAT album!"
