Instead, it's built largely on the sounds of piano, organ, Mellotron, and acoustic percussion, both live and sampled. Guest appearances by Quever, Julie Lispector, and The Donkeys. Despite the guests and shift in instrumentation, "Vs. Children" feels just as warm and intimate as the first album.
