Catfish Records compilation for the innovative bluesman. He specialized in playing a lap steel guitar with a hint of Hawaiian influence. The sound he developed later evolved into western swing. The husband of Memphis Minnie, he was also a part time member of the famous Memphis Jug Band & a major player on the emerging Chicago scene.
