I recently read a review of this cd by some bozo who gave it 2 stars. What a moron! Maybe that's what you get from fans of Weezie or whatever they're called. And who cares about the bass player when he doesn't write anything? I saw Carnival Art live back in the early 90s as the warm-up act for Poster Children (YUK!) and Buzzcocks (buzz kill that night). CA blew them away, and I picked up their two discs not long after. This one is heavier than the first, and musically and lyrically I still think it's a fantastic piece by a band that never got their due. I wouldn't call it punk or wave, but I can hear the influence. But this is just good rock and roll, a slap in the face here, an unexpected turn there, this is fabulous stuff, I highly recommend it as well as the other CA album. This one gets 5 stars; I don't even have to think about it. It's that good.
