"This is a deceptive title for this CD. Although these are songs Carlos Gardel sung, here it is only 7 out of 21 that are by him.
The rest are either orchestral arrangements or low-quality sounding cuts. Maybe it was my fault for not reading all the information until the end, where it describes who plays.
Otherwise, a decent collection of classic tangos, but there are better CDs with better arrangements."

"Of the 22 tracks, 6 are by Gardel, 7 by other soloists and the other 9 instrumental but do not be discouraged tango fans as there is more to the genre than Gardel.
This is an EXCELLENT CD. Carlos proves he merited the name of the Golden Voice from the River Plate and all his selections are tops. The other soloists have a variety of styles and are all worth hearing,particularly the hieratic interpretation of "Donde estas Corazon" by Asprella and Raggi, the rendition of "No the enganes corazon" by the Trio Irusta-Fugazot-Demare, and the bitter "Ilusion" by Pettorosi-Bianco. BUY IT.."
