"After a go at gospel. Ms Staton's original and deep rooted past, "Outside In" is at last a homecoming for her!I heard the track first on a UK radio station (CoolFM in Belfast, N. Ireland, programmed by John Rosborough) a VERY hip station that could teach even the most urban markets here in the States a thing or two!) Ms. Staton has never sounded better here. She seems totally grounded now in her delivery of every lyric and vocal touch. Her complex bluesy and gutsy delivery is superb!Unfortunately for her, she joins the ranks of female African American singers over 40, ie: Gladys Knight (and incredible voice and person, Natalie Cole, Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, etc. who are terribly underrated and consequently underplayed on stringent playlistsof radio stations run by consultants and suits NOT in touch with their REAL audience, nor their market. What a shame.I say we buy Ms. Staton's CD and send it to those we love and tell them to pass it on!Love On Love begins with us, those that know better, we that BUY the artists's music!Thank You for your wonderful music Ms Staton, and hopefully, welcome back tothe R&B, Dance or pop charts, THIS is a HIT!THIS is SOUL!"
