Can's rockin'-est album

"I have to disagree with whoever wrote "the slide begins here." This is a unique album that shows Can in top form. While not quite on the level of a masterpiece like Tago-Mago, this is still great, highly creative stuff. Loaded with unusual sounds, bizarre keyboard fills, loopy guitars and clever drumming from genius Jaki Liebzeit. The songs maintain a certain atmosphere as most great albums do, except for the sharp left turn of the last song "Unfinished" which goes into atmospheric territory. I think the title is unfortunate because the atmospheres are evocative and intriguing. When I hear it, I imagine gliding through a darkly-lit enchanted forest during certain parts. It should have been called "Splintered Passages" or "Time Displacement" or something.Anyway, this album is as essential as anything in the Can oeuvre!"
