Album Description"The devilmaker" is what contemporaries called Hieronymus Bosch (c.1457-1516), unsurpassed in the depiction of the ghouls and fiends of hell. Scenes of demons, monsters, and their victims were Bosch's trademark, but his works are steeped in a Christian morality. The inspiration for this release is the painting "The Seven Sins" by Jeroen Bosch. The Dutch poet Gerrit Komrij has written new texts to old music, depicting the seven sins, and the songs are surrounded by other instrumental and sacred pieces. The album comes in a very decorative slipcase with a well-documented booklet (including English translations) and a poster of the famous painting.
