CD ReviewsVitually unknown artists deserve high praise! snowleopard | Oregon | 11/08/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Buried in the morass of ambient/new age albums released in the mid-1990's, this is what I believe to be one of the greatest CD's that hardly anyone heard. The album is a very rich, layered synthsizer based soundscape. But unlike so many ambient/na releases, there are true compositions here, and a wonderful use of subtle melody and harmony in the pieces. The entire CD captures the grandeur and peace of the sea in the way the arrangements and copositions breathe and flow. I sometimes likened this work to that of Brian Eno, and his disciples (Harold Budd, Roger Eno), but the compositions and especially the arrangements here are unique enough to not just be clumped together with all the other Eno clones. And like Eno, on the surface the music can be plesant, and seem somewhat simple. But for those daring to listen more closely, the music achieves much more than that. Something I can not say of the bulk of this type of music released during the last 10 years. Between 1985 and 1995 I worked both as a reviewer of this type of music, and once as a producer of it. I listened to arguably as many CD's of this genre as anyone out there. And I say now as I noted before, Kiraly and Crevier are arguably the greatest artists of this type of music that you've never heard. It's great to see their work available here on Amazon. Highest recommendation."
