CD ReviewsCheck out Cal Hollow - you won't be sorry you did! 08/13/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Ever hear of the MGD Blind Date tour? Well, I got tickets to a local one in Cotati, California - and we all thought it was going to be a huge band. It was! (just wan't who we thought it would be). Cal Hollow was the "secret band", and they are absolutely incredible. Their vocals are superb, and they are *tight*, musically. After the show, they were selling their CD themselves - which I bought, and got signed by them. A really nice group, and deserve your attention. They also did songs for their upcoming CD which isn't out yet -- be sure to check that out too!" Definite Satisfaction 06/23/1999 (4 out of 5 stars) "I thought that I had heard everything...until I heard Cal Hollow. Admittingly, a couple of songs made me restless; however, most of the CD made me stay. Boy, I am a new believer in local SF bands, as it has been 40 days and 40 nights and I am still listening to this CD. The lyrics have to be the best part of the music. I often found myself in a drift, reflecting on past experiences. Isn't that what music is all about? If it is in my car or in my apartment--this CD is a perfect companion. I highly recomment that you pick up this gem. Nuff said." Music that touches your soul, finds you humming all day 06/10/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) ""Restless" is deep, soulful music that you"ll want to hear again and again; "Satellite" and "Higher Man" are hauntingly beautiful in tone as well as message. This is today's music at its absolute best- these guys have captured creativity along with a "now" sound you can listen and dance to. Check out " Lindentown" - what does the "dream" mean to you? Go get this CD! You'll love it!!!"
