CD Reviews
For those who love real heavy metal
L. B. Ivarsson | Rock City | 03/20/2003
(4 out of 5 stars)
"If you liked the first release "The cage I", then you'll love the second "The cage II". This follow up is even better than the previous and there are songs of very high quality like the fast rockers "Overload" and "Guardian angel". Tony Martin is singing excellent as usual and Dario Mollo is certainly a guitar player fit for in major league. I suggest you also check out Rondinelli's "Our cross, our sins" (Tony Martin is doing the vocals) - a really great heavy metal album in traditional melodic line."
Dario Does It Again

"What a good second Cd from Dario And Tony. Not as dark as the first cage cd the band seems to lighten up a bit but still provide a good hardrock cd. Dario's Guitar work is great and Tonys voice is as good as ever. But the addition of Tony Franklin on bass is awesome he works very well with Dario. If your looking for a good hardrock cd this ones for you."
"The cage2 is just as great as the first cage album,Martin's voice is beatiful again, specially in "wind of change". Another good thing in this album is the addition of bass player Tony Franklin who plays very good under Dario Mollo's riffs. It's a great CD as good as sabbath's TYR or Cross Purposes."
A couple of strong songs but one is a cover, mostly boring

"The leadoff track has some energy and "Overload" isn't a bad song, just sets the tempo for the majority of the album. The cover of Led Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused" is very good, not really straying from the original, just beefing it up in the production department. The rest is just boring. Mollo does a better job with Glenn Hughes in Voodoo Hill."
Mediocre

"I , like many hungry Sabbath fans expected more from this release. It's good ,don't get me wrong , but it could have been much better ,especially with such potentials. Dazed and Confused should have been ommited. If you love Martin , get it.If you love Classic sounds stick to Headless Croos and etc..."
