"Well, that about says it all. C.P.E. Bach was almost as great a composer as his father, better than Vivaldi, more innovative than Mozart. These concertos, especially the first one on this disk, are so brilliant that one is literally spellbound by his genius. Spanyi and Szuts perform them with tremendous synergy and sensitivity. I would guess that the entire series is just as good as this disk!"
An important historic document and terrific performance

"This is a marvelous series of discs, of neglected repertoire of significant importance in the development of the classical keyboard concerto. Bach was a major influence of Haydn and Mozart. Spanyi's performances on the entire series are uniformly excellent."
