"This cd has a surprising line up ( Louis Moholo on dr, Evan Parker on sax, Barry Guy on bass, Pule Pheto on piano and Gibo Pheto on bass too) and it is a great mixture of british free jazz and south african 'leanings'. The cd is made up of 10 tracks, 5 improvised by the group (which are great) and the rest by individuals or more from the group (these are more focused and even better). Somehow this does not sound as anarchic as other Parker outings. There are many passages where one feels the melodic and harmonic ideas surfacing between the players who are obviously great listeners. Adventureous and a pleasure to listen to. Moholo is in great form too!"
