Synopsis

Product Description
Two-steppin on the heels of their 2007 debut CD release; Starry Skies and Lullabies, The BummKinn Band has recently released Rockin The YeeHaw. This latest CD is a collection of 16 Texas- sized ditties plus a fabulous bonus story track is sure to get your country goin whether or not you got a country to get goin. As one of the few artists to tackle ' country music for kids' The Bummkinn's venture into Busted Big Wheels, BooBoo's, and even broken hearts in this amazingly creative and fabulously fun and imaginative CD for kids of all ages! The first 12 tracks roam the country range--from traditional influences of Hank Williams and the hillbilly hip of Loretta Lynn on songs including Woke up On the Wrong Side of the Bed and You Broke My Heart on the Swingset-- to the Willie Nelson - styled Farm Road 22 and the David Allen Coe inspired Perfect Kid's Country Song. Songs including I'm Alright channel southern rock stylings while rock-a-billy influenced the song I Dropped My Ice Cream. There's even a nod to the alternative country scene with a Lucinda Williams inspired Crab Bit My Toe, based on a story remembering Breaux's crab fishing with her Uncle Bubba in Texas. Following the topical country songs, the CD's remaining four tunes are story based ditties that reveal the antics of folks in Fish In A Tree County. Of course these songs were influenced by the band's mascot, Joe Bear BummKinn, known affectionately as the Buck Ownes of the stuffed animal world--a teddy sized bear with a grizzly-sized personality. The final story track takes you into the mind of Breaux as she ventures into the Hybrid world of tomorrow with the western stylings of yesterday. Her Rhnurtle Elesnail, a cross between a rhinocerous turtle elephant and snail, and his side kick the mumblin bummble seed, a cross between a sesame seed and a bumble bee, bring their hybrid music to an almost forgotten small town and bring it back to life. This CD is a definite family favorite for all ages to dance qand sing-a-long too. Bill Childs, sparetherock, says of The BummKinn Band's new songs The new songs are more rockin'...with a good country nougat center. This is a must buy!!!!
