Last year their hit song "Glory Defined" exploded onto the Christian music scene as one of the most successful debut radio singles ever, hitting #1 on eight different radio charts. Now, Dove award-winning New Artist of The Year Building 429 returns with a bolder, more aggressive sound on their new releases RISE.
"I love this CD. It's the second Building 429 CD I've bought, and I actually like this BETTER! If you take this CD and add Glory Defined off of their first album, you would have a perfect CD.
LOVE IT!"
An "improvement"???? Maybe not as much....

"It's funny to read reviews where people say how much of an improvement B429 has made as a band since their debut album. In all actuality, "Rise" is about as close to their original sound as they've gotten on a CD. I've been following the band since 2001, which means I first heard them live, in concert, and have been to at least 10 concerts by them. They are now, as they have always been, a top-notch live band. The harder, more aggressive sound on "Rise" is actually reflective of the sound they've had in concert for the past 5 years. They put out 3 CDs before "Rise," and I can honestly say "Rise" is closest to their live sound they've gotten in the studio. I was slightly disappointed at "Space in Between," because it was NOT reflective of the power of their live performance. It was watered down, in my opinion. "Rise" is definately their redemption from that. I would suggest to anyone who purchased SIB and "Rise", and hasn't seen them live, to go to a concert soon and experience them. You'll find this "different" sound on "Rise" really isn't that different at all."
Excellent yet again

"I,too, wondered how 429 could make a Cd as good as their first but I must admit that they did it.They are truly motivated and their words and music excel so many that are their contemporaries."
This album rocks

"If you liked the first album you will surely like this one. Building 429 had a reputation to live upto with a hit debut album and winning an award for artist of the year at the GMA's and they've risen to the occasion. Where as the debut showcased a generic accoustic style of rock "Rise" is heavier and more edgier with more of a grunge type sound. The song writing has improved too. This just doesnt feel anything like the debut but will still please fans of building 429 as they will enjoy the progress the band has made inbetween the debut and this album. Take a listen for yourself and you will see how much these guys have matured as musicians."
