It's a classic!

"This is essentially a reissue of Buddy's classic "Steel Guitar Jazz". It was Buddy's first trip to the Big Apple, and his first encounter with legitimate jazz musicians. The prhasing and style are distinctive Emmons, and there's even an original blues written in the studio: "Bluemmons".While it lacks the clarity of vision and arrangment of his later "Emmons Guitar Company" album, "Steel Guitar Jazz" turned the steel world on its ear when it was released. This is a classic that deserves a spot in the collection of every steel guitarist and steel guitar fan. I've been listening to it for years and I've never tired of it.-b0b-"

"The recording date of 1963 puts Emmons at 26, not 19. Regardless, this album
is the first of its kind. A moment in time. Excellent band and repertoire.
Buddy Emmons is the Thomas Edison and Charlie Parker of the pedal steel guitar, an inventor on so many levels."
