"I'm a fairly new Cockburn fan, and recently got to see him perform live & solo. If you hear one of his songs performed with a band, then hear him perform the same song solo, you will be amazed at what he can accomplish all by himself on one guitar. My favorite songs on this album are the mesmerizing World of Wonders (not political), If a Tree Falls (fantastic guitar, green more than political), and Child of the Wind (Country Western style lullaby, more typical of his earlier folk roots). To the person who decried that this is not a country album, fair enough, but explore his back catalog or this album and discover the wide range of what he can do. He doesn't censor himself, or limit his stylistic explorations, isn't that refreshing in a world of mass produced crap? Not his best album but well worth it."
The very best of Bruce

"I recently saw Bruce perform live and it was the most amazing performance I have ever seen. Bruce is a poet and songwriter and also one of the greatest guitar players in the world, and that's no exageration. The vocals are fantastic, the lyrics profound and moving, and the guitar is enchanting. This CD really captures the feeling of being at a live performance with the mic checks and audience interaction. I believe this CD does a pretty good job of encapsulating Bruce's 30 year career."
