No love ballads here, Metal all the way

"Dale and Troy Thompson best album for 80's metal fans, even touching on thrash metal. Speed metal elements come in on "Hell No" and "In the Dark". The album is somewhat dark and Christian in content. Bride's Live to Die reminds me of the first two Savatage releases Sirens and Dungeons are Calling. I really liked Dale's song writing and singing style on live to Die. And like Savatage every album Bride put out after gets weaker and weaker or trendier for my taste. I wish Bride would have stuck to the speed and thrash playing they did on Live to Die. Bride would continue to get more and more commercial with each new album. Live to Die is truly a gem for pure metal fans. By the way this was Pure Metal's {Bride's album label at the time after Bride's name change from Matrix} second signed band. From the lyrics, cd cover art, band name and playing this is what Metal music should be about.
When I first bought this cd way back when, I could not take it out of my player....and even today I still throw it in and play the whole cd. Again the great question is answered of why I listen to metal? This is one of the great albums of why! Now if I can just find the Treasure Seeker"s CD who did a remake of Bride's "Heroes" song on this album I'll be set?
