I don't have much of a collection by Paul Desmond but these are all tunes that he loved to play and with the instrumentation he favored following the disbandment of the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Paul Desmond was a very lyrical player and in this tribute set, the warmth of feeling and the musicianship is more than right. This set is melodic, subtle, and swinging.
