Terrific Double Disc CD

"First let me say that I believe the previous reviewer (Richard Diaz) and I seem to have similar taste in music. Good taste haha. I got this CD when it first came out and haven't been disappointed. It's the fifth installment of the Schema Break & Bossa series and this one is, IMO, better than the rest. Included are brand new tracks from Soulstance and smooth bossa remixes from Nicola Conte. Disc one has the regular tracks in full while the second CD is like a real lounge fest, mixing seamlessly tracks from Nicola Conte to Rosalia De Sousa to Intuit, (check Glucklich vol IV ;) )to Les Hommes and Soulstance and more. The CD is more of a jazzy feel like the previous reviewer stated. The Soulstance tracks are nice. Perhps they are a sign that they will make another album - or that they will go the route of fellow Italian troupe S-Tone Inc. and just make fantastic singles. But either way, their touch on this release is well worth the purchase, as are the other remixes and beats. **If you have picked this up and enjoy it, you will probably also enjoy Hotel Costes Estage 3. It feels eerily similar to disc two of this release. Included are Bahia Patrol, Cujo, Hacienda, Shirley Bassey, Boyz from Brazil and even Can 7."

"Buffed up Brazillia for modern times and tempo. The Schema folks, Italian masters at plucking tropicalia flowers for display, keep their fabulous four-year old series as strong as ever by now offering a two-disc, 26-track installment filled with newly licensed goodies and unreleased tracks.Disc one's served up in no-pauses fashion, with several notables. S-Tone's "In the mood for bossa" is a stoked up number with singer Laura Fedele's romantic intentions reaching right through to you. Greyboy and Nicola Conte turn a trombone-led little thing into a flute-filled workout, with exquisite breakdown in between. The first hour has the expected share of bouncy traditional fare ("Puutarhasa", "Mas Eu Quer Ser") but aims notably jazzier, less interested in the Compost- style club sound. Disc two combines original pieces with repeats and alternate versions; mixed together, they absolutely spring alive. Aforementioned "Mastered the Art," gains an immediacy and excitability, while slower work from Rosalia De Souza refreshingly changes the pace. Add a dash of romance from Soulstance, and a floop-filling firestorm from Combo Granata for a mighty fine 55 minutes quick to prompt a replay.Bottom line, two discs, including a fab mixed version = no-brainer purchase. Not quite All That, but certainly all you would want this many volumes in."
