Product DescriptionBratsch, formed in 1972 by guitarist Dan Gharibian and violinist Bruno Girard, has released more than ten albums to date. The group is renowned for the diversity of its musical influences and for the virtuosity of its members and guest artists. Bratsch's primary focus is on gypsy (Roma) music, but they blend in sounds from klezmer, jazz and many diverse folk traditions. Plein du Monde was originally issued by EMI in 2007 in celebration of Bratsch's 35th anniversary. Instead of going with the usual 'greatest hits' concept, they decided to record an album of 'duets.' The album's mix of traditional songs and originals and features guest appearances from famed vocalists including Khaled, Olivia Ruiz, Juliette, Lhasa and Charles Aznavour. The album's title translates not only as 'the whole world' but also 'to all people' - an appropriate choice for this uniquely global band.
