"I must say first THIS IS SERIOUS FUNK you don't hear anymore. I'm JAMMIN'
my copy of "Brass Construction" right now-- about to do it again.
This album originally came out in 1975 when I was 11 years old. My dad had it on 8-track (YUCK!!) and I WORE IT OUT (I played it more than HE did). I always wanted it to be released on cd. I got my copy in the mail today and 32 years latter let me tell you funk like this just plain DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE. Not many bands put the Funk down like Randy Muller and Co. There were exceptions like Parliament/Funkadelic organization, The late Punk-Funkster Rick James and maybe the Gap Band; but none laid the disco-funk down like B.C. People talk about groups like E.W.F. and Commodores- but NOT EVEN CLOSE. I DO have to give it up to Cameo tho'.
When I started this disc, I must say, even after 32 years when each track started it was like yesterday (know what I mean?). Every track is classic.
My advise to you is if you don't have it... 1. GET IT NOW!!! 2. TURN IT UP
3. JAM FOR HOURS.
KEY TRACKS- ALL SIX... But Jam track 5 (Talkin')-Should've been longer!!"
