"In 2002 Brandy returned with her hit "What About Us?" produced by Rodney Jerkins. It was totally new sound for Brandy, and even Jerkins himself, but they pulled it off. It was techno bass-booming production that Brandy could call her own sound. This time around, Brandy leaves the techno-R&B behind and goes back to her roots: R&B. But a falling out with Jerkins led to his absence on her upcoming album, "Afrodisiac." Thus producers Kanye West, Mike City, and more importantly, Timbaland step in."Talk About Our Love" is the first single from her new disc and it is produced by and features, the ubiquitous Kanye West. He gives a pretty dull rhyme to the song, but it is Brandy who really takes the cake. Her voice is deep and raspy and sounds just as good as the production itself. Kanye West is a genius and this is one of the better productions he's done lately. The lyrics, the music, and the vocals all come together. In the song Brandy and Kanye strike back at people who persistently poke into their love life. It is a topic many celebrities can relate to."What is it this time/Go on and speak your mind/I know somebody's lyin/ Her auntie told your cousin/ Now all your homie jump in/ And now the whole hood's buzzin/ With he said, she said/ Baby don't let get in your head..." Brandy sings on the beginning part of the first verse. She is confident and strikinig on the part. This song may be climbing the charts slower than previous Brandy songs, but it is by far her most superior first-single."

"This track is bangin yeah. From day i heard it i was like "yeah, this is a tune." I like the chemistry between Kanye and Brandy. It just goes to show that Brandy can't stop won't stop. But can someone please answer this question. What was the point in Ray-J being in the video for like two seconds, was he THAT desperate for some publicity? Only God knows.....but forgetting that im gonna get this single as soon as it's released and u should too."
Great Single and Future for Brandy.

"Talk About Our Love is a hot summer song with a melodic beat and straight to the point lyrics which compliment Brandy very well. Not to mention her maturing vocals. With every album Brandy has released her vocals have matured. In the early to late 90s, Brandy was the princess of R&B, she was the most successful out of all of the teen R&B/HIP-HOP Divas with a gorgeous voice you couldn't deny, and with this new single and the new sound she has, she's definitely showing us why. I think it was a good thing to break away from Rodney Jerkins. The Darkchild family, with all do respect, were basically running out of ideas, they were giving artists like Blaque, and So Plush the same sound they were giving their most famous produced artist (Brandy). They gave Brandy and Monica (The Boy Is Mine) and Whitney Houston (If I Told You That) the same beat with different instruments. They even gave Chante' Moore (If I Gave Love) and Jennifer Lopez (If You Had My love) darn near the same song, go ahead and compare them for yourself, Rodney Jerkins and the Darkchild crew have become very disappointing as producers and worst of all they are disappointing their artists such as Chante' Moore (who called Rodney a jerk on national TV) and Brandy. Great career decisions for Brandy. Darkchild needs to take a little break from the music Biz."
Brandy's Back to "Talk About Our Love"

""Talk About Our Love" is a breezy yet aggressive single unlike anything on the music scene today. Brandy's chemistry with producer Kanye West is undeniable on this track. She's singing like never before and the beat is incredibly infectious. Kanye's humorous flow even adds an extra hip hop flavor to the mix. The lead single is followed by a mix tape track made for the clubs, "Turn It Up", which was produced by Timbaland and will also appear on the album (entitled "Afrodesiac" and slated for a June 29th release). This is a must have for any Brandy, Kanye West, or Timbaland fan. "Talk About Our Love" is indeed the song on the summer and "Turn It Up" is only a preview of what's to come when Brandy's album, primarily produced by Timbaland, hits stores in June."
