"This is incredible. If you like old school Metal, this is without question the purchace for you. It's a great mixture of the best Metal has to offer IMO, and I'm very impressed with this release from Brainstorm. Metal Blade Records did themselves a huge favor by signing these guys!!!....

The songs here are so catchy, and they're all chock full of crunching riffs and melodic solos. I've been a huge Iron Maiden fan since 1981, and Brainstorm's "Soul Temptation" really took me back to the great days of Metal. It's a wonderful breath of fresh air, not too technical, and certainly not the cheesy "dungeons and dragons" type Metal some bands are experimenting with these days....

It's powerful, up front and in your face Metal, done the way Metal was meant to be done. If Brainstorm can follow this up with another masterpiece like "Soul Temptation", these gys will be a strong force in Metal for many years to come. I can't wait to see what these guys come up with next!!!...."

""Soul Temptation" by Brainstorm -- I just can't stop listening to it. Totally caught me by surprise, especially "Highs Without the Lows", "Nunca Nos Rendimos", and "Soul Temptation".The little trilogy and sound of the Egyptian tinged songs ending with "Soul Temptation" gives me chills every time I hear it. Screaming steel, kicking drums, I just don't see how you could at all wrong with this entire CD. I just love the particular punch of the instrumentals , the range and style of the vocals (lyrics). Add in the fact that as a gamble, for 10 dollars I got my favorite album of the year so far."

A must for your collection

"If you are like me and you surf Amazon and the net for excellent metal, add this to your collection, this is a keeper !!

This CD rates in the top 5% as a must have. The previous reveiwers cover most of what's great about this CD, the "trinity" is excellent.

"Brainstorm is an interesting mixture of Queensryche and Judas Priest during their respective peak years. The former influence is especially noticeable with the splendid arrangements and sometimes unusual added touches such as singing a chorus in a different language or computerized backwash during a guitar break. The latter influence is apparent in the absolute heaviness that is brought to each song, some blistering guitar solos, and in the mostly mid-range vocals that sometimes elevate to shrieking heights reminiscent of Rob Halford. Normally this much obvious influence alone would be enough to downgrade an album, but the production value is extremely high and each song stands on its own force of will demanding to be heard. There is not a weak track on this album and for me, at least, this is a way to relive the glory days of the aforementioned bands with a modern day production sheen. Highly recommended. Thank you."

A True Materpiece of the Soul!

"Man this new Brainstorm album is going to challange Evergrey's Recreation Day for album of the year! Brainstorm delivers a materpiece of crushingly heavy power/thrash metal that has left my jaw hanging on the floor. I don't know if these guys were possesed or something while writing this album but they sure were able to create a masterpiece in Soul Temptation. I liked Brainstorm's previous albums but this one exceeded my expectations on all levels. The songwriting is first rate front to back. The riffs are bonecrushing yet clever as heck and Andy Frank has outdone himself with his most powerful vocal performance yet! Brainstorm also deliver their catchiest melodies and pound them through your brain with a chunky fat production that can only be decribed as perfect! Man what a wall of sound! Metal the way it was meant to be heard. Ultra heavy and crystal clear. This album pushes Brainstorm in the likes of elite bands like Nevermore, Evergrey, Angel Dust, and Iced Earth. Like all of these bands Brainstorm are as heavy and as melodic as possible at the same time. Also while other influences can be heard in there music they have there own personal sound not trying to carbon copy Judas Priest or Helloween like so many other bands you know who they are. If you are tired of weak flowery power metal that is not very heavy and like the heaviness of melodic death metal but could do with out the growling grateing vocals than you will love Brainstorm. Sometimes words just can't describe though so I advise everyone who loves metal to pick this album up you will not be disappointed!"
