"To have the chance to hear such venerable masters like Oistrakh and Richter is to enjoy and being aware they were one of the most esteemed duos ever existed.
This album offers two notable pages of the literature for violin. Brahms' Op. 100 is by itself one of the most egregious and beloved works ever written for the instrument. Brahms achieved a level of supreme musicianship and serene perfection, hovered by a gentle atmosphere of sheer lyricism.
Additionally, we have one of the most extraordinary chamber works for the violin, the fabulous Prokoviev's Op. 80. For none was a secret the prominence of this instrument in those raising years of the XX century. Expansiveness, brightness and vigor were some of the qualities that featured both sonatas.
So, you have a double reason to buy this exceptional musical document.
