Boston's third album is a must listen on headphones - the big thing about this release (as mentioned multiple times in the liner notes) - there was no orchestral or synthesizers used to create the sounds and it took 6 years to conceive and complete. There are some wonderful nuances to this album that really shine on repeated listens (how are those not violins at the end of âStill In Love")?

I didn't grow up with this era of music, but to me this is classic AOR hard rock. Soaring vocals, expressive, driving guitar work and a traditional rockin' good times vibe. I have learned over time that you really can't go wrong with picking up a Boston album.

6 years to get the THIRD STAGE
mpop | Malaga (Spain) | 12/28/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Best Boston album and one of the best symphonic rock albums ever.

As Scholz relates in the liner notes, they took around 6 years to make this record. It's impressive, such a stack of sounds mixed and linked, lots of troubles with the the oldest tape tracks (they got stuck), a man with long arms to fix the tapes from different desks and most of all, a "space" travel full of space ships and other UFO sounds made without using violins or synths.

Brad shows a great voice from sweet modulations to the highest tone rates!

I've listened to it lots of times and I never get fed up with.

I really recommend it. It's great!

---------------------------------
