"This release features Borodin's entire repertoire for piano performed gorgeously by the gifted Marco Rapetti. His playing is exceptionally poetic and passionate, resonating Borodin's spirit very faithfully.
The recording itself is acoustically gorgeous, and accompanied by very informative and illuminating liner notes about each pieces by Rapetti.
There are 5 pieces here for piano 4-hands, in which he is joined by Daniela de Santis and Giampaolo Nuti.
The real outstanding gem here is Borodin's original transcription of his symphonic poem "In The Steppes of Central Asia", for 4-hand piano. It is the first ever released recording of it. The Petite Suite is very pleasing and the Tarantella is also not to be missed, but the 4-hand piano version of "In The Steppes of Central Asia" is worth the price alone.
Not to be missed."
