"Ok, first off, anyone considering purchasing this needs to be clear on one thing. This is really a novelty item meant for dedicated fans more than the occasional or new listener. The premise for this CD is that Born Against wrote 2 sets of lyrics for Screeching Weasel to write music to and Screeching Weasel wrote 2 sets of lyrics for Born Against to write music to (This CD includes a bonus track for each band, "Chicago" by Screeching Weasel and "Movin' on Up" (yes, that is the Jefferson's theme song) by Born Against, which are taken from seperate compilations and were not included on the vinyl version of this release). The Screeching Weasel songs are good, catchy pop-punk which are more political in nature than your average S.W. song. The Born Against side is more aggressive and crazy hardcore with less serious lyrics. An aquaintence of mine, who is much more versed with Born Against than myself, says the B.A. side is amazing. An enjoyable, if non-essential, listen."
