"This release is just over 30 minutes long, but it is WELL worth the price for any true fans of Bonobo. Those of us that have grown to love his work know Bonobo as Simon Green, a British producer of top-notch downtempo grooves and tasty instrumental hip-hop. His two studio albums "Animal Magic" and "Dial M for Monkey" were instant classics and a third studio release, "One Offs, Remixes & B-sides," was released simply because the underground bootlegs of the recordings had created such a buzz.
Now Green wants to integrate more of a live sound into his style, and this EP is just a taste of what's to come from the Monkey Man and his funky band. I wasn't sure if a live band could really do his music justice, but after hearing this amazing 6-piece (with the man himself on bass) pull off stunning versions of "Noctuary", "Dismantling Frank", "The Plug" and "Nothing Owed", I am a firm believer! The EP is rounded out by a new track "Recurring", which was a pleasant surprise, and the Four Tet remix of "Pick Up", which was previously released on the Flutter single. For those who haven't heard it, it's a bombastic and spirited remix, which shouldn't surprise those Four Tet fans out there.
In short, this EP is essential for Bonobo fans so that they can hear what's about to come and look back at old tracks in a new light at the same time. For those who haven't heard Bonobo and are into progressive, instrumental hip-hop, BUY HIS FIRST TWO ALBUMS NOW, then pick this up after you're hooked!"
Once again amazing

"If you are a fan of bonobo's work, you will definitely love this album. Recurring is mindblowing and is my favorite off this ep. Listen to the sample of recurring on amazon and be blown away. If it doesn't make you want to buy the album, you are not a fan of Bonobo. BUY this album now!"
Why haven't you bought this yet?

"Anyone who doesn't know Simon Green a.k.a. Bonobo yet needs to very quickly. He creates some of the most amazing sounds, both in studio and live... In short, if you enjoy acid-jazz, downtempo or any other subgenre related to these, get this CD and all the rest of his albums. Trust me, it'll be money well spent."
