"The industry has dictated that Japanese releases get exclusive bonus tracks for many years now, but it's 2005 and this arcane practice is just one more thing helping nail the coffin on the music industry.

This edition has three bonus tracks, none of which are "Livin' On A Prayer" but all of which are at least as good as anything else on the disc, and "These Open Arms" is the best ballad on the record. I was pretty annoyed, after I bought the domestic release, to find the album for free all over the internet, in a far superior version to what I could actually buy in stores. And they wonder why people aren't buying CD's anymore.

If you can afford the ridiculously overpriced import, go for it. If not, just look around the internet for a free download, unless you want to pay $14.99 for a partial album. It's too bad, since this is the best thing Bon Jovi has done since 'These Days.'"
Ah, Now that's Bon Jovi!!!!!!

"This album, affectionally know as "HAND", is in a sense, back to basics Bon Jovi. Not to say that any track on this album is sophmoric or "same old". It is that they guys know what they do well, and they do it WELL on this album. They have taken their talents and honed them down to the absolute perfect display of Bon Jovi music. HAND flows seemlessly from one track to the next. Some will be your favorites, but all will be liked! No songs will compel you to hit "next" on your player, all are listenable to say the least.

The Bonus Tracks on this import are not just "filler". The Bonus tracks are a BONUS!!! You have to have these 3 extra song; they really are great.

It just goes to show that Bon Jovi can stand in the leagues of the "long term" rock bands!

"The boys are back. Great rocking tunes and lyrics that really have something to say. Roll down all the windows and crank up the title track (which is also the first single). The one that really got me is "Welcome to Wherever You Are." Everyone should take that track to heart."
