Album DescriptionRecorded "Live" at the legendary Dallas venue on Christmas night, 1999, the late great Johnnie Taylor even took to the stage briefly with Bobby. This CD captures Bobby handling Johnnie Taylor's "Wall to Wall" and the Albert King classic "I'll Play the Blues For You. His own soul-blues ballad, "Right Place, Wrong Time" is a pertinent tale of infidelity that he successfully recorded for the legendary Paula label. It enables him to communicate intimately with the cheering crowd. "When the Lick'n Stops" is a funky naughty number inspired by Marvin Sease. "I'd Rather Eat Soup" is Bobby's own hit, a dreamy beat-ballad and the title track of an earlier CD. On these extended performances, Bobby interweaves a rap with his vocals and reveals how engaging a performer he is.
