What horrible sound quality for 1970's recordings!

"I don't know what sources Aubrey Mayhew gave to KOCH records when they were mastering the Little Darlin' cd series, but the Bobby Helms cd is probably the worst sounding out of all of them. Many of the songs are in mono, when stereo mixes shouldve already existed or been made fresh from the multitracks, but the songs are all also very muddy sounding. I'd say about half of the songs are in stereo while half arent. The sound on all of them is very poor and a bit murky. This cd contains Bobby's last country chart record, Mary Goes Round, but the sound on this one is not as good as it really should've been....just don't listen through headphones and you'll be alright. This cd in full is well worth avoiding and you'd be better off finding Bobby's original singles and albums on Little Darlin' and Certron records and making your own compilation of these songs dubbed from those records...i guarentee it would sound better than this cd. This cd is not worth spending money on, so avoid doing so at all costs."
