"I was first introduced to Bobbi and Her Satin Doll album by my mother in the early 70s. I loved it then as a child and I love it now. I have my mom's original album...it's pretty worn but I will keep it forever. This is a great cd. "New York Times, Harlem River Drive, Mistizzo Eyes, Blacks and Blues" are great. The only song missing is her version of "Satin Doll" Oh well.. it is still a gem...you won't be disappointed."
Oh Yeah!!

"I have a personal story. In the early 90`s I was turned on to this type by a friend at work. I had been only listening to Hip Hop and he would tell me the samples that some of the songs had used. Well to make a long story short, I began to like the original songs more than the Rap songs. Unfortunately, he didn`t write down the titles and names of the songs so I could`nt find out who made them. Years later when my two little boys were born, they proceeded to destroy those cherished tapes my friend had made for me. Finding these songs has been a slow and agonizing process. But with the help of "CDnow" I have begun to get back some of those songs. Some of them are located on the "Best of Bobbi Humphrey". This album is simply fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pure jazz flutist with soul."
Best of Bobbi...

"Over the years, I've heard of Bobbi Humphrey, but this collection was my first real introduction to her work and talent. I now know that she is a very good artist! Frankly, I set my CD on "Mestizo Eyes" and just hit the repeat key! It just mellows me that much! If you've never heard Ms. Humphrey before, this "Best Of" collection is a great place to start! Very highly recommended!"
