CD Reviews

A Solid Mix of Original House Music
R. White | USA | 09/03/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Although both Cd's contain most of the same songs - with different mixes on each, this compilation is still worth getting. When you consider how little consistent output there is in House music from any one artist overall, it is really amazing to hear Bob Sinclar's songs all together presented as a single mix. In spite of comprising entirely of Bob Sinclar's own work this mix is quite dynamic as well as diverse - spanning from his early disco influenced roots to his current Africanism output. While this CD could have been pared down to one great single disc, it is still quite a feat to sustain even one disc of original House music by a single artist into a solid mix. Not too many other artists can pull this off with their own output, so it is a marvel that Bob Sinclar can so easily accomplish this - and do it so well."
Enjoy!

"First I must say that the album I have is quite diffrent, it includes diffrent songs then this one, but it's still called "Enjoy" with the same cover. Bob Sinclear is a famous French dj and he's been around for a while making good dance music, On this album he delivers some great momements too. "Kiss My Eyes" was a french inspired song where Jean Claude Van Damme danced with a women in the video. "The Beat Goes On" was another club hit with retro sound and for you that ever heard Superfunk's "Lucky Star" then there are several songs here with Ron Carrol, that delivers his deep soulish voice here aswell. "Taj Mahal" adds some latin spice to it and there are countless of slow chillout songs aswell like "Bisou Sucré" Soul, Funk, Dance and Jazz are current here and it's defenitely a enjoyable album in the same way as Modjo, Cassius, Superfunk and others."

"Two very thoughtful mixes. The second one is my favorite. It's funky, sexy, and blissful. "Taj Mahal" rips it up in the middle with a crazy Brazilian-style anthem. The whole CD is like a bath of fresh house water, in the 70's. It's such a booty shaker. And it's very thoughtful. He mixes "Wonderful World" into "The Ghetto" on CD2 and the opposite on CD1. If you like "Dimitri from Paris", here you go."
