"When I watched Bo's first YouTube vid over two years ago and laughed like hyenas on nitrous oxide, with tears in my eyes, I turned to my wife and perdicted this kid will be famous. Unfortunately I'm not prophetic, Bo's just an exceptional talent who's acclaim and fame is well deserved. The material on this album is worth more than five stars. The intelligent and clever lyrics mixed with showmanship and contempt of politically correctness results in brilliance; hence the five stars.
What I find disappointing with this release, is the lack of studio tracks. The overwhelming majority of the tracks are live recordings from a Tempe Improv performance. I was at that show, and I'm not suggesting the performance wasn't great. Rather, the mix quality is sub-par, and not exceptionally better than some of Bo's bedroom recordings. If all the tracks had been studio recordings or had the live mix been as polished as the existing studio tracks, this release would have been a full win."
Freakin' hilarious!!

"I heard about Bo on Comedy Central so I had to run out and buy the CD as soon as it came out today! It's hard for me to describe how funny it really is, you've just got to go buy it and check it out for yourself!! You definitely won't be disappointed :)"

"Yes, Bo Burnham is fun, irreverent, witty (most of the time). He can also sing.... and sing well, and seems innately musical. He's not really wholesome but weirdly real. Bo is unpredictably coherent..... where is he going with this you ask; he takes you there with a chuckle, skewering the ennui you thought would shroud his song. His career is about the most contemporary and his success the most authentic one can imagine: spawned by youtube it only proves that real talent still wins. One would hope it becomes colossal. Without knowing it, he is probably and refreshingly the truly genuine, unmanufactured, anti American-Idol, young rising star. Enjoy him. Buy his CD (with bonus DVD). This guy will give you much pleasure, and deserves success. We want more."

"Bo Burnham is certainly not PC. But neither is he as lowbrow as some of his critics charge. Indeed, I think that he is often smarter than most members of his audience, judging by how many of the informed jokes and cutting parody fly over their heads. Its refreshing to see a young performer who can provide an unabashed mix of intelligence, vulgarity, absurdity, and iconoclasm. Add to that a talent for writing and performing songs, and you have an act that works. I think that if he matures a bit more and becomes more confident on stage and loses the need to try and explain things to the audience (let them catch up or drown on their own, kid), he could very well be his generation's answer to Weird Al Yankovic. Brilliant."
