"Bluestring refer to themselves as a Song-Prov band, because of their combination of well written songs and improvisation. I'd have to say this is an appt label. The album is filled with memorable songs, 'Pick Me Up' and 'In This Company' sticking in your head for days. A perfect Summertime road trip disc.
Influences are Widespread Panic & Dave Matthews; and I hear elements that bring to mind the first time I heard the Grateful Dead's song-oriented "American Beauty" and "Working Man's Dead". These are catchy songs, which the band improvise on in their live shows. The playing is excellent throughout, with great vocals and vocal harmonies.
A highly recommended band to check out."
