"One disc,68 min. approximately. The sound, while not digitally remastered, is good for the era. This will come as a surprise to those who think this is just another Trojan Records release. This is not reggae in any of it's many styles. This is good old American rhythm and blues, complete with horn solos and the duo vocal stylings of Lloyd Campbell and Phillip James. The arrangements could have come from U.S. r&b radio during the sixties. Approximately half of these tunes are originals and the other half by various writers, both Jamaican and American. Some of the tracks have a mixture of r&b/reggae sounds, which will be recognizable to anyone with a knowledge of reggae-but the ground floor of these tracks feels straight out of the Sam and Dave style of r&b. This is one of the most interesting releases Trojan has put out lately. Anyone who enjoys r&b,done with a bit of Jamaican seasoning, will find this to be a collection of tracks you'll keep coming back to when you need a dose of up-tempo r&b-Jamaican style!"
