Blue Dogs- one of the best things about living in Charleston

"This is a great group of guys who really know how to jam, be it at the rustic beach front club the Windjammer ,where our parents grew up too, or in the crowded streets of a small college town like Athens (that I personally helped convert). The Blue Dogs is the best off shore fishing cd that you will find- the fish enjoy it too and the next thing you know, a 350 lb blue has jumped in the boat to hear Futch strumming away, a little better. Just wish my friends would quit 'borrowing' my cd!"

"Growing up in the South, I have heard so many great bands who start out small, playing at intimate local venues, and end up in the big time. The Blue Dogs are perhaps the best of the bands I have heard live, but unfortunately they have just not been lucky enough to catch the big break they deserve. Blue Dogs is an outstanding album with all of the things you would look for in a great record--fun lyrics, guitar skills, great sound, and a passion for entertaining the masses. If you consider yourself a fan of artists who sing because they love to and not to get famous, southern rock, or great albums in general, then you have to pick this one up ASAP!"

"This is a CD that shows a wide range of emotion, from songs about serious subjects to ones that are just plain fun. The songs are all very easy for almost anyone to relate to, and a listener would find it difficult not to sing along. This is a band that doesn't try to be above its fans, but tries instead to relate to them and share common experiences; this attitude, along with the exceptional musical talent of its members, is what will win the Blue Dogs many more fans as time goes on."

"What fun music! I'd never heard of this band before until I saw them today playing at a streetfest in Chicago. I fell in love with the music after only hearing the last 2 songs they played. I bought the CD on the spot, took it home, and listened to it twice. The lyrics are fairly simple, but it's good old fashioned love story stuff with a bluegrass/pop twist. I can't wait to see them live again!"
