Album Description2007 release by the British Alternative Pop band led by Gerard Langley. Harvester is an album of ten covers of songs originally performed by artists that were signed to Harvest Records, the current new home for The Blue Aeroplanes. The Aeroplanes are an Art-Rock group from Bristol who formed in the '80s to bring Folk, Rock, Pop, poetry and art to the masses. The band has always centered around Langley and his poetry, with more than 80 members adding their bit to the Blue Aeroplanes sound since they released their first album in 1984 (including Angelo Brushini, now in Massive Attack). Langley's writing style has earned the band comparisons to the Velvet Underground and Time Out called them 'the best band to emerge from the west country.' They had two top 75 singles in the early 90's: ('Jacket Hangs' and 'And Stones') and are firm favorites on independent and student radio across the nation!. Harvester features 'Fireball', 'Outdoor Miner', 'I'm Stranded', 'Stagger Lee' and more. EMI.
