One album, one classic

"Blind Faith's self-titled debut album (1969) was their ONLY album and was really an experiment by Eric Clapton. Clapton had been part of Cream from 1966 to 1968. After Cream broke up in 1968, Clapton assembled a new group consisting of himself on guitar, Steve Winwood (formerly of Traffic) on vocals, Ginger Baker (formerly of Cream) on drums, and Rick Grech on bass.

This album contains just six songs, but all of them are good. I can definitely hear a blending of Traffic and Cream on this album. Songs such as Can't Find My Way Home, Sea Of Joy, Presence Of The Lord, and their cover of Buddy Holly's song Well All Right are still frequently played on the radio. My favorite song is probably Had To Cry Today.

This album has that distinctive '60s sound to it. Released in 1969, it helped close out a great decade for music. It's too bad that this was their one and only album. Oh well, at least they released an album, and a good one.

I highly recommend this classic album."
